Winter Weather Communication

In case winter weather causes the school to be closed, check out the information below on how the LHSD will communicate the closing.


As soon as the decision to close the school is made, the district will immediately post the closing information on the following:

*Mass text notification system 

*District social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) 

*District website (lhwolves.net) 

*FM Radio Stations (105.9, 97.5) 

*TV Stations (KARK 4, KATV 7, KTHV 11) 

*Mass email through Wolf Week News subscription


If the decision to close is made the night prior (before 8:30 p.m.), an automated mass phone call will be sent that night.  

If the decision to close is made after 8:30 p.m., the automated mass phone call will be sent at 6:00 a.m.


Here are a few tips that you can do right now to ensure you receive messages from the LHSD:

1. Make sure the primary contact phone number for your student is correct.  If you've not received mass text notifications from the LHSD this year, please contact your child's office to update your number.
